In Your room


Midwest Diocese Camp staff takes its responsibility to provide for the safety and welfare of all campers very seriously. The following procedures and the rules will help set the tone for behavior, and if they are followed accordingly, will assist in maintaining a happy camp environment for everyone. We wish every child a wonderful camp experience!


CAMPER GUIDELINES

  • Listen to all staff and be courteous and respectful at all times

  • Counselors are in each dormitory to assist you; respect and obey counselors at all times

  • Know the camp schedule and always be on time

  • Be friendly, kind, and considerate to other campers; get to know everyone and make new friends

  • Treat others with respect; say and do things to make people feel good, not to make them feel sad


BATHROOMS

  • Keep bathrooms neat and tidy at all times

  • Don’t forget to flush

  • Check to make sure everything flushed; if not, flush again

  • Don’t leave toilet paper or anything else on the seat

  • If you use the last piece of toilet paper, replace it with a new roll

  • Remove your hair from the shower and sink

  • Wipe the sink after using it; don’t leave crud in the sink

  • Always wash your hands with soap after using the restrooms, and remind others to do the same


SHOWERS

  • Take a shower every day

  • Follow the shower schedule

  • Shower as quickly as possible (5 minutes should do it)

  • Be ready for your turn in the shower – (1) have all your shower supplies ready to go, (2) jump right in as soon as the camper before you is done


MORNINGS

  • Make sure you wash your face, brush your teeth, comb your hair, wear deodorant, and dress properly


ROOMS

  • Campers are not allowed in the dormitory rooms except at designated times

  • Stay in your room and stay out of other campers’ rooms unless given permission

  • Respect your own bed space as well as the shared dorm space by keeping the room neat, clean, and in order at all times

  • Always use ladders; do not jump from bed to bed

  • All campers are expected to respect the rights and property of others; never touch or take another camper’s belongings

  • Don’t bring anything valuable to camp

  • Money and cell phones are turned in at check-in and distributed as needed

  • Running, playing, throwing, and similar activities are to be done outside the building

  • Campers will be responsible for any damage to the rooms

  • Failure to follow any of these rules could result in camper being sent home from camp with no refund of fees
